Nourished® and Sitka Salmon Shares are excited to bring you a special seafood-themed evening! Marsh Skeele, Salmon Shares co-founder, sustainable fisherman, and talented home-cook, will guest instruct together with Nourished® founder and wellness chef, Kathy Napleton, to take the intimidation out of fish preparation.

You’ll learn how to source quality fish and the many health benefits of eating this Omega-3-rich superfood. Plus, our cooking demonstration will equip you with simple techniques for preparing delicious, wild-caught fish and seasonal ingredients for healthy eating any day of the week!

This 2 ½ hour, interactive demo class will teach you:

  • sustainable fishing practices and why this is important to our environment and our health
  • the how-to’s of purchasing nutrient-dense, quality fish
  • the difference between farm-raised and wild-caught fish; sustainable and endangered species
  • guidelines for fish selection and storage
  • basic fish preparations that are easy but impress any night of the week

Guests will enjoy our Nourished Party Mix™ upon arrival. You’ll also receive a serving of each dish prepared. All recipes and one glass of sustainable, artisan white wine is included in the ticket price! Should you wish to enjoy more wine, we feature a variety of artisan wines from around the world which are biodynamic, sustainable or organically farmed. All wines are available for purchase by the glass.

Seasonal Menu:

  • Wild-caught Alaskan halibut and Coho salmon crudo with lemon-citrus olive oil, shaved scallions, microgreens and a side of sesame wonton crisps
  • Endive and radicchio salad with creamy pine nut dressing and shaved Pecorino cheese
  • Pan-seared, wild-caught Alaskan Coho salmon with crispy herb potatoes
  • Baked, wild-caught Pacific cod in a wine and herb sauce
  • Fall, citrus-spice apple and pear crisp with coconut whipped cream
