About This Workshop

Nutrition—along with a healthy lifestyle—is the cornerstone of tween and teen health. Helping your child develop a positive relationship with food will go a long way. But as a busy parent, where do you begin? What food choices do you make to support a lifetime of good health?

Eating healthy means getting the right balance of nutrients to support growth physically, emotionally and intellectually. Geared toward ages 12-18, we’ll take you through the role of macronutrients in your child’s diet and highlight nutritional needs at specific developmental points in their life.  Plus, we’ll discuss what to feed your child to fight cold & flu, the best foods to support energy and athletics, and the importance of brain foods to fuel academic performance.

You can also promote tween and teen health by encouraging your child to make good choices when they indulge or eat out with friends. Learn Nutritionist-approved after-school snacks, tips for eating out, and how you can easily create healthy swaps for their favorite foods (even if they include chips and ice cream!).

Don’t wait—help set healthy dietary habits they can develop today to set the tone for their future.

This workshop includes:

  • Seasonal, plant-based organic lunch prepared by our Wellness Chef
  • Organic herbal tea and mineral-infused water
  • Nutrition and food education from our Master Nutrition Therapist
  • Recipe of the meal enjoyed
  • Handouts pertaining to class topic

NOTE: We are currently adhering to the policies set forth by the IDPH. Outside of eating and drinking, all guests and staff must wear a mask.
